When you connect a domain, C Building first looks at where the domain's DNS is, that is, its nameservers. You add the records wherever the DNS is, which isn't necessarily where you bought the domain. For example, a domain bought at Rumahweb with its DNS on Cloudflare gets its records at Cloudflare.
The records to add (type, name, value) are the ones listed on the card when you connect the domain, so this guide gives no fixed values. Use the record types exactly as the card shows them; if a name already has an old record, edit or delete it first, then add what the card lists.
When this guide applies
Only when the domain's nameservers are nsid1.rumahweb.com, nsid2.rumahweb.net, nsid3.rumahweb.biz and nsid4.rumahweb.org (Rumahweb's DNS). If they belong to another company, add the records there.
If the domain uses Rumahweb's hosting nameservers (ns1 and ns2.rumahweb.com, or ns3 and ns4.rumahweb.net), add the records in cPanel instead; on the WordPress hosting nameservers (nsp1 to nsp4), add them in Plesk. The steps below don't apply in those cases.
Adding the records at Rumahweb
- Sign in to Rumahweb Clientzone and select "Domain".
- Select "Manage" next to your domain.
- Select "DNS Management".
- Select "Add New Record" and choose the card's type under "Record Type".
- Enter the host from the card and put its value in "IP or Hostname" (A record) or in the value field (CNAME, TXT), then save. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each record on the card.
Good to know
- These steps work only while the domain uses Rumahweb's DNS nameservers (nsid1 to nsid4). If changes in "DNS Management" seem to do nothing, check the nameservers first.
How long it takes
Rumahweb says changes take about 1 to 24 hours to take effect.

Adding the records above is enough to connect your website; you don't need to change the nameservers. Only if you choose to let C Building manage this domain's DNS, change its nameservers to ns1.cbuilding.net, ns2.cbuilding.net, ns3.cbuilding.net and ns4.cbuilding.net (as the card lists them).
Before you do, your e-mail records at Rumahweb (such as MX and TXT) have to move too, or your e-mail may stop arriving. Read Before you change nameservers: e-mail and DNSSEC first.
- Sign in to Rumahweb Clientzone and select "Domain".
- Select "Manage" next to your domain.
- Select "Setting", then "Nameserver Setting".
- Replace the current nameservers with ns1.cbuilding.net, ns2.cbuilding.net, ns3.cbuilding.net and ns4.cbuilding.net.
- Select "Change Nameserver" to save.
It takes about 1 to 24 hours. On Rumahweb's older panel the button is called "Changes Nameserver".
