What's New in C Building: September 2026

The short version
September 2026 brought a project console that opens before the editor, an assistant on the projects page, clearer build progress and builds that resume where they stopped, rebuilding an existing website for enabled accounts, background WordPress imports, a new name and the launch of cbuilding.ai.

A round-up of what changed in C Building in September 2026.
Projects open on their console
Opening a project now takes you to its console first, instead of straight into the editor. Without waiting for the site to load, you can see and manage:
- its pages,
- its articles,
- its media library,
- its domains and settings,
- form submissions,
- and the way into its version history.
When you want to change the website itself, choose Edit to open the editor. Articles are managed here too, and appear on your live site once it is published. See our blog runs on C Building's own articles system.
An assistant on your projects page
Ask how to do something, what your plan includes, how much AI you have left or how a build is going, and get an answer about your own account. It can also plan and start a new website for you, once you confirm. See meet the assistant.
Clearer builds that pick up where they stopped
- Progress you can see. While a website is being built, its project card shows how far along it is, or its place in the queue when others are building. The editor shows each stage as it happens.
- Close the page, it keeps going. Builds run in the background.
- Interrupted builds resume. If a build stops partway, the project card says it needs to continue building. Retry, and it carries on from where it stopped rather than starting over.
Build from an existing website
For accounts we have enabled, you can enter the address of a website you own and have the AI rebuild it as a C Building site you can edit. It takes about 20 to 60 minutes depending on the site's size. See turn your existing website into one you can edit.
WordPress imports in the background
WordPress imports, from an XML export or a WPvivid backup, now run as background jobs once your files are uploaded. See bring your WordPress site to C Building.
A new name and a new website
Cloubie is now C Building, or 小C建站 in Chinese, and has its own website at cbuilding.ai, in English and Traditional Chinese, with plans, guides and this blog. See Cloubie is now C Building and cbuilding.ai is live.
