Meet the Assistant: Help Right on Your Projects Page

Most questions about a website tool are small and urgent. How do I connect my domain? How many AI edits do I have left? Is my new site finished yet? Searching a help centre for each one breaks your flow.

So C Building has an assistant on your projects page. You ask in your own words, and it answers from what C Building actually does, and from your own account.

What you can ask

• How to do something. "How do I put my site on my own domain?" "Where do I see messages from my contact form?" It explains the steps and where to find them.
• What your plan includes. "What does my plan include?" "How many AI edits do I have left this month?" It checks your plan and usage, so the numbers are yours, not an example.
• Where things stand. "Which websites do I have?" "Is the café site finished building?" It lists your websites and how their builds are going.
• Take me there. It can open a project for you.

It can start a new website, with your say-so

The assistant can also help you plan and create a new website, in any of the ways C Building offers: describing it for the AI to build, rebuilding an existing site, or importing WordPress.

Because creating a website uses your AI credits, it always tells you first what it is going to build, and only starts once you confirm.

What it won't do

Some actions are yours alone. The assistant won't:

• Pay for or buy anything, including upgrades and domains.
• Delete a website or delete one permanently.
• Publish a website or take one offline.
• Change your website's content.

For each of these, it tells you where to go and what to press, and you do it yourself. Changing your site's content happens in the editor, where you can see exactly what changes and undo it if needed.

How it counts

Each round of chat with the assistant counts as one AI edit, the same as a round of chat in the editor. See how AI credits work.

Why we built it this way

Why can't the assistant publish or delete for me?

Because those actions are hard to take back or affect what your customers see. We want a person to press those buttons, on the page where the consequences are clear.

Why does it ask before building a website?

Because building a site uses an AI website generation from your plan. You should know what you are spending it on before it happens.

How does it know the answer?

It answers from C Building's own product guidance and from your account's plan, usage and projects, not from general knowledge about other tools.
