How to change nameservers to C Building at Rumahweb, DomaiNesia, IDCloudHost and Jagoan Hosting

The short version

Start DNS hosting in C Building first, then change the nameservers at your registrar to ns1.cbuilding.net through ns4.cbuilding.net. Rumahweb: Clientzone → Domain → Manage → Setting → Nameserver Setting. DomaiNesia: MyDomaiNesia → Domains → your domain → Nameserver tab → Use Custom Nameservers. IDCloudHost: Domain → Manage Nameservers. Jagoan Hosting: Domains → three dots → Manage Nameservers; .id domains go through support.

If your domain was bought from an Indonesian registrar such as Rumahweb, DomaiNesia, IDCloudHost or Jagoan Hosting and you want C Building to manage its DNS, you change the domain's nameservers at that registrar to C Building's. This guide brings together the official steps from all four registrars and what to watch out for.

The steps follow each registrar's official help pages (listed under Sources), checked on October 28, 2026. If nameservers are new to you, start with What are nameservers?.

Step 1: start hosting in C Building first

Order matters: finish the setup in C Building first, then change the nameservers at your registrar. If you change the nameservers first, your old records stop working at once, and your website and email can go down.

  1. On the website's "Domains & publishing" page, or the "Domain" tab in the editor settings panel, find "Let C Building manage your DNS" and click "Let C Building manage DNS".
  2. Choose how to read your current records: "Detect automatically", "Import from Cloudflare" or "Paste a zone file".
  3. Under "Confirm the records to bring over", tick each record you want, use "Add a record" for any that are missing, then click "Start hosting".
  4. The screen shows "Last step: change the nameservers at your registrar" with four nameservers and a "Copy all" button.

C Building's four nameservers are ns1.cbuilding.net, ns2.cbuilding.net, ns3.cbuilding.net and ns4.cbuilding.net. After you start hosting, change the nameservers within 3 days. If you don't, this setup and the records you brought over are deleted, and you have to click "Start again". The full flow is in Let C Building manage your DNS.

The four registrars at a glance

Rumahweb

  1. Sign in to Rumahweb Clientzone.
  2. Open the "Domain" menu and select "Manage" next to your domain.
  3. Select the "Setting" button, then "Nameserver Setting".
  4. Remove the current nameservers and enter ns1.cbuilding.net, ns2.cbuilding.net, ns3.cbuilding.net and ns4.cbuilding.net.
  5. Select "Change Nameserver" to save.
  • In Rumahweb's older guide the save button is called "Changes Nameserver". Menu names may differ slightly depending on which Clientzone layout you see.
  • Rumahweb says changes take about 1 to 24 hours.
  • If the domain has been using Rumahweb DNS (nsid1.rumahweb.com, nsid2.rumahweb.net, nsid3.rumahweb.biz, nsid4.rumahweb.org) or Rumahweb hosting nameservers (ns1/ns2.rumahweb.com and ns3/ns4.rumahweb.net, or nsp1–nsp4 for WordPress Hosting), the records there stop applying once you switch. Bring over the records you still use, especially email, when you start hosting in C Building.
  • Rumahweb's guides don't cover DNSSEC or any special rule for .id domains. If in doubt, contact Rumahweb support by live chat, ticket or [email protected].

DomaiNesia

  1. Sign in to MyDomaiNesia at my.domainesia.com with the account you used to buy the domain (not your cPanel account).
  2. Select "Domains" in the left menu, then click your domain name.
  3. Open the "Nameserver" tab. "Your Current Nameservers" shows the nameservers in use now.
  4. Choose "Use Custom Nameservers" (in the Indonesian interface: "Gunakan Nameserver Kustom") and enter ns1.cbuilding.net, ns2.cbuilding.net, ns3.cbuilding.net and ns4.cbuilding.net.
  5. Select "Change Nameservers".
  • Many domains at once: under "Domains", tick the domains, select "Manage Nameservers", choose custom nameservers, enter them and select "Change Nameservers". Wait for "Changes Saved Successfully!".
  • DomaiNesia's guide says changes take 12 to 48 hours (about 2 days); its guide for many domains says 24 to 48 hours.
  • If the domain has been using DomaiNesia's default DNS (dns1–dns4.domainesia.com) or DomaiNesia hosting nameservers (ns1 and ns2.domainesia.net), the records there stop applying once you switch.

IDCloudHost

We could not open IDCloudHost's official guide Cara Mengubah Nameserver pada Domain when we checked on October 28, 2026 (the site blocks automated access). The steps below follow that guide as we noted it earlier, and the "Manage Nameservers" menu is also mentioned in other IDCloudHost guides. Menu and button names may differ slightly.

  1. Sign in at my.idcloudhost.com.
  2. Select "Domain".
  3. Select the down arrow next to your domain, then "Manage Nameservers".
  4. Choose custom nameservers ("Custom nameserver") and enter ns1.cbuilding.net, ns2.cbuilding.net, ns3.cbuilding.net and ns4.cbuilding.net.
  5. Save with "Change Nameservers".
  • If the domain has been using IDCloudHost's default DNS (bromo.cloudhost.id and rinjani.cloudhost.id) or IDCloudHost cPanel hosting nameservers (ns01 and ns02.cloudhost.id), the records there stop applying once you switch.
  • If you can't find the menu or button, ask IDCloudHost support where to change your domain's nameservers.

Jagoan Hosting

  1. Sign in to the Jagoan Hosting member area and select "Domains".
  2. Click the three-dot icon next to your domain and select "Mengelola Nameservers" ("Manage Nameservers" in the English interface).
  3. Enter ns1.cbuilding.net, ns2.cbuilding.net, ns3.cbuilding.net and ns4.cbuilding.net. Don't choose "Gunakan default nameservers" (use default nameservers).
  4. Select "Ganti Nameservers" (change nameservers).
  • You can't change a .id domain yourself in the member area. Open a ticket or chat in the member area and ask Jagoan Hosting support to set ns1.cbuilding.net through ns4.cbuilding.net.
  • Jagoan Hosting's guide doesn't say how long the change takes.
  • If the domain has been using Jagoan Hosting nameservers (ns1 and ns2.jagoanhosting.com, or best, great and one.jagoanhosting.com for hosting plans), the records there stop applying once you switch.

.id domains and PANDI

Domains ending in .id (such as .id, .co.id, .my.id, .web.id or .biz.id) are run by the PANDI registry, but you don't deal with PANDI directly: you still change the nameservers through the registrar you bought the domain from.

  • Jagoan Hosting: .id domains have to be changed through support (ticket or chat), as described above.
  • Rumahweb, DomaiNesia, IDCloudHost: the guides we checked don't mention different steps for .id domains. If saving is refused or you get an error, contact the registrar's support and tell them the nameservers you want to set.

Before you switch: email and DNSSEC

  • Once the nameservers change, every record at your registrar or old host stops applying. If the domain is used for email (for example cPanel hosting email or Google Workspace), make sure its MX and TXT records come over when you start hosting in C Building.
  • If DNSSEC is on for your domain, turn it off at the registrar before you change the nameservers. None of the four registrars' guides above explains how; if you can't find it, ask the registrar's support. C Building also checks this before it starts hosting.
  • More detail in Before you change nameservers: email and DNSSEC.

How long does it take, and how do I check?

Each registrar's own figure is in the table above. C Building says it usually takes minutes to hours, and can take up to 48 hours. Once it takes effect, your website connects automatically.

  • When you're done at the registrar, go back to C Building and click "Check now".
  • When it says "The nameservers have changed. Your DNS is now managed by C Building.", you're done. Use "Manage DNS records" to edit records from then on.
  • If it says "The nameservers have not changed yet.", it also lists the nameservers the registry has on file, so you can spot a typo.
  • Filling in only some of the nameservers still works, but all four is more reliable.

If the nameservers are later changed away from C Building, record editing is paused. If they are not changed back within 14 days, hosting ends automatically.

Just want to connect your website? Add records instead

Changing nameservers is optional. If you only want to connect the domain to your C Building website and keep managing DNS at your registrar, just add the records shown on the C Building card:

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to change nameservers to use my domain with C Building?

No. Adding the records from the C Building card at your registrar is enough to connect your website. Change nameservers only if you want C Building to manage all of the domain's DNS.

Does my domain move to C Building?

No. The domain stays registered at Rumahweb, DomaiNesia, IDCloudHost or Jagoan Hosting. Only its DNS moves. Renew the domain at your registrar as usual.

My registrar's form only has two nameserver fields. What do I do?

Enter ns1.cbuilding.net and ns2.cbuilding.net. Two nameservers work, but if there are more fields, fill in all four because it's more reliable.

Why can't I change the nameservers of my .id domain?

At Jagoan Hosting, the nameservers of a .id domain have to be changed by support through a ticket or chat. At other registrars, contact their support and give them C Building's four nameservers.

Will my email be affected?

It can be, if the email records (MX and TXT) aren't brought over. Check the email records in "Confirm the records to bring over" before you click "Start hosting", and read Before you change nameservers: email and DNSSEC.

What if I want to go back to my registrar's DNS?

Change the nameservers at your registrar back to their own (for example with the default nameserver option). C Building pauses record editing, and hosting ends automatically if the nameservers aren't changed back to C Building within 14 days. Make sure the records you need are set up at the registrar again.
